Once you managed to build a large following for your blog, you can start earning extra income through advertising.
In order for people to want to place their banner ads in your blog, you would need to show people proof of your blog viewership. So proceed with caution when using this method of making money through blogging.

A better method compared to having display ads and pay-per-click ads on your blog is to write sponsored blog posts in return for cash.
This will also require you to have a good amount of viewership before you can attract any sponsor to having blog posts written about their products or services.
Most often, the sponsor will have a business that has products or services that appeals to your blog readers. And what you will do is write a review about what they have to offer or an article that relates to what they are selling.
